I have decided to create a music video to “you know you like it” a Tchami remix taken from Aluna George and DJ snake. I have chosen this piece of music as the song starts slower and builds up, which works well for the sort of dance video I am hoping to create. As it is a remix there is no music video already existing leaving me with compete freedom to create my own. Attracting flies - there is so much intertextuality within this music video, starting with Little red riding hood and the wolf within the first few frames, leading onto Rapunsel as the video continues, then Goldie locks and the three little bears, the sword in the stone, the princess and the pea, Snow White and the seven dwarfs, Cruela devil from 101 Dalmatians and sleeping beauty. The video starts with the lyrics hat repeat throughout “little grey fairy-tales and little white lies” referencing all the fairy-tale intertextuality to come within her video. There are a lot of high angle shots looking down on Aluna making her seem more vulnerable like the princesses from the fairy-tales she is rein acting. Not above love - at the start of the video she arrives in a car playing one of her previous songs “mean what I mean” from the radio including her own intertextuality.
