Key elements to include

Elements to include:

> Atmosphere - I aim to build up to an upbeat atmosphere which inspires the audience to want to join in as the video reaches the climax of the chorus.
> Lighting - I do wish to include abstract lighting using dark background with neon lighting in certain elements, however I do not wish to recreate a generic 'nightclub dance music video' as I feel this is over used. As my targeted audience will be more urban/aspirant I wish to also play with natural lighting as well as artificial neon lighting.
> Storyline - I will have a clear linear storyline being established throughout, however there will also be a more complex/abstract narrative running in parallel that may be interpreted by the viewers in various ways.
> Shots - I will include wide establishing shots where actors are shown visibly being placed into their location, as well as this I shall include close ups of various significant actors and objects throughout the video combined with a selection of wide shots where I focus on the locations and mid shots to establish the actors costume/ facial emotion etc as well as putting that into perspective with the backgrounds.
> Editing - In keeping with the dance genre, I will start with slower frame durations and as the video develops, these frame durations will become a lot quicker during the climax of the chorus.
> Mise-en-scene - In regards to costume, I might have one main actor dressed elaborately and colourful in contrast to the others to create a clear distinction, however to appeal to my more urban/aspirant audience I may have the storyline reflecting the other actors more than the main actor. In terms of setting I wish to include multiple settings such as rural and built up areas as well as using both day and night life connotations.
> Intertextuality - There will be some intertextuality to most common dance genre music videos. In particular, i can see my music video being similar in some aspects to 'darlin' by Tom Zanetti as well as including commonly used suburban areas seen in 'house every weekend' by David Zowie and more indie music videos.
